Richardsville Elementary School
Richardsville, KY

Parks ICF of Georgia is proud to be involved in building the nation’s first “net-zero” energy school. Located in Central Kentucky, the Richardsville Elementary School is leading the way to energy-efficient public schools by building a school that actually produces more energy than it consumes. By incorporating details like a “solar-hallway” that includes solar-powered laptop charging stations and a “geo-thermal” hallway that allows students to see the inner workings of the geo-thermal climate control system, the Richardsville Elementary School is striving to become a green teaching school that inspires students to protect the environment everyday.

Bristow Elementary School
Bristow, KY
Located near Bowling Green, the Bristow Elementary School is going to be one of the most energy-efficient schools in the Bowling Green area. Scheduled to open in Fall 2010, the school will provide the community with the safest, strongest, most energy-efficient school in the area.

Clarkson Elementary School
Clarkson, KY
Replacing the aging Clarkson Elementary School, the Grayson County Board of Education has chosen Parks ICF of Georgia to construct the new Clarkson Elementary School using ICF. The Warren County Board of Education chose Insulated Concrete Forms for the school because of its extremely high insulation qualities as well as its resistance to environmental hazards. In fact, ICFs have proven so effective in saving money and providing exceptional safety, the state of Kentucky has mandated that publicly-funded school construction requires ICF construction We are excited to be involved in this project and are working hard to provide Clarkson with the safest, strongest, and most energy-efficient school in the area.

Thomas Nelson High School

This new school is reaching for LEED certification and will be the most energy-efficient education facility in Nelson County. Scheduled to start early 2010, we are proud to be involved in this project.

northshore Waterside Towers Resort at Norris Lake

Waterside Resort is located on beautiful Norris Lake in North-eastern Tennessee. A six-story condominium tower with basement parking garage is currently under construction with completion slated for early 2009. The owners selected ICF for the exterior shell and tenant separation walls for several reasons…energy efficiency, sound dampening, speed of construction, and higher quality walls are just a few of the advantages the developers were seeking. With the success of the pre-sales for the units in Tower 1, Parks ICF hopes to be building again at Waterside Resort in the near future.

northshore The Water Resort at Pigeon Forge, TN

The Water Resort is located in the heart of Pigeon Forge, TN and provides vacationers with exclusive accommodations conveniently located among one of the top shopping and entertainment districts in the southeast. Reaching seven stories tall, The Water Resort will be one of the first multi-story condominium complexes built entirely out of ICF. But Pigeon Forge is an active bustling town, so insulated concrete forms are ideal in this setting because of their noise-reduction/insulation qualities. Pigeon Forge is also known for its many car shows and exhibitions which can sometimes disturb vacationers in nearby condos and hotels, but in The Water Resort, environmental noise will not be a factor. For condo owners, the superior thermal insulation qualities will keep heating and air conditioning costs to a minimum, making this one of the most affordable pieces of real estate in the area.

Black Bear Falls DionasWhelchel Properties

DionasWhelchel Properties chose ICF construction for their corporate headquarters due to the flexibility and durability of the ICF walls while resulting in only minimal plan alterations. Since their business is construction and development they wanted to use a product that would provide significant energy efficiency as well as create an environment that supported a superior level indoor air quality. ICF construction with its seamless connection and thermal mass quality was best suited to provide such an environment. In addition to the indoor air quality and the tight seal, the use of ICF construction has virtually eliminated the opportunity for mold and mildew to grow.

Covered Bridge Resort Covered Bridge Resort
The Covered Bridge Resort Community is another rental community that has chosen to use ICF throughout the resort.  The foundation of each cabin is built using ICF and the majority of them utilize the Mar-Flex waterproofing system.  Many of the cabins consist of foundations reaching over 40 feet tall.  With a stone veneer finish, the cabins retain the mountain cabin appearance but benefit from advanced construction technology.  The mountain upon which the Covered Bridge Resort is housed will  hold 103 cabins when complete.

Foundation Waterproofing Foundation Waterproofing

The most important part of the stability of a home is the foundation.  Having been in the foundation business for over 8 years, we have seen many basements and foundations severely damaged by water.  Our company wants to help prevent this from happening to you by offering a top of the line waterproofing system to eliminate the risk of water damage.  The Mar-Flex 5000 waterproofing system provides unmatched performance against leaks and seepage.  At the heart of this three step system is the Mar-Flex 5000 waterproofing membrane.  This spray-on membrane provides an excellent waterproof barrier that never dries out and remains flexible to protect against settling.  A 60 mil plastic sheeting then covers the membrane to protect it from backfill debris.  Finally, the Mar-Flex Geo-Mat is installed.  This HDPE mat resembles typical “dimple-board” waterproofing but has a fiber mesh on one side to allow water to flow around the foundation and away from the home.  We are so confident in this waterproofing system, we will give you a 25-year written warranty for your own peace of mind.  This is truly the best waterproofing system available.
